Just a quick update before I go to work!

We're doing so well!  I'm very proud of my team.  We still have a ways to go though!  Help if you can:

Leave a comment to this entry with a question, statement, a confession, or an obscure fact you know. It can be as random as "I like cheese." Anything!

Then everyone feel free to read through the comments. If you see something interesting, reply to that person. Have a conversation you might not normally have.

There's only one rule- NO PERSONAL ATTACKS OR FLAMING! This is just to have fun. If you get into a debate, that's fine, just don't get ugly about it.

I'll start. Raptors are my favorite Dinosaurs.

I am very pleased with our progress since my last report.  As you can see, we've reached 70% of our goal!!!  We've gone up a whole 5% since Thursday!

I truly have some wonderful friends here who have donated for this very important cause.  Thank you all so much and if you can, please try to donate!!

We're getting closer!  We're at $650.00 of our $1,000.00 Goal!

Please give if you can!

Just a quick update on the American Cancer Society fundraiser. Even though the $26,000.00 goal was met, we're still collecting money for the charity. As of right now, there is no new goal, but that shouldn't be too much of an issue.

Team RR is up to $625.00 or roughly 63% of our $1,000.00 goal! Since we've only been collecting for just over a month, I think we're doing great!

It does cost $25.00 to join our team, but I do know times are rough and not everyone has the extra $25.00 around, so the American Cancer Society also has a gift option where you can give as little as $10.00.

Just an update...

I'm hoping this doesn't fall on deaf ears.

We're still collecting money for the American Cancer Society.

Our main goal ($26,000.00) has been met already!  But we're not stopping there!  We want to keep raising money. And why not?  It's a great cause.

I'm just going to copy what I originally posted when I first wrote about this fundraiser.  I don't think I can say it any better than I did then.

It's a pretty fair assumption to say that most everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer. I, as many of you know, have lost several family members to cancer and have watched others battle this disease. Armed with these personal experiences, I have done a small bit of fundraising in the past to help raise money to fight cancer. I have recently decided to step up and do more. I am hoping you all will help me.

Many of you may know a few months ago, David Cook won American Idol. He stated that he wanted to use his celebrity to do some good and help people.

Many of his fans took note and also wanted to get involved. Last month, a group of fans joined the American Cancer Society with the goal of raising $10,000 in honor of David Cook by the end of the American Idol Summer Tour. I was made aware of this amazing opportunity through a friend of mine. At this time we have currently reached that goal and now have set a new goal. $26,000 by his 26th birthday, on December 20th.

As a fan of him and what he stands for, I'm beyond excited to be a part of this opportunity to help out. You may or may not like David, but I do feel this is an important cause and I do hope that some of you can get behind this movement. All of the money raised will go towards this cause to help end this horrible disease.

The ACS has made it ridiculously easy for you to join the fight. You can make a donation online by simply clicking on the link at the bottom of this message. Any amount that you can donate would be greatly appreciated…and I'd be willing to bet that your day will be brightened just knowing that you've done something to help eradicate a disease that has hurt far too many people.

Please pass the word on to anyone you feel would be able to and would want to contribute.

Thank you all so much,

ACS Update :)

I'm absolutely floored.  We were kind of stuck at $260.00 for a while, then today, someone donated $100.00!!!!!

My team still has a long way to go to our $1000.00 goal, but that really does make me smile that someone donated that much!

I must be the only idiot...
